A 5 inch color touch screen and multi-function knobs let you select and customize stitches and designs with ease. With a simple touch or turn on the Bernette B79 you can adjust stitch length and width, change thread tension, find and use embroidery designs and access tutorials, and customize embroidery designs. 

Create exciting stitch embellishments with 133 decorative and 35 quilting stitches, and save stitch settings to the B79’s memory for future projects. Motifs can be easily edited and combined on the touchscreen. Choose from 208 pre-installed embroidery designs and 7 embroidery alphabets, or upload your own designs via USB. You can also edit your motifs remotely via the BERNINA Cloud on your computer or mobile device. Want more? Expand your designs even more with the Lettering and Editing modules, giving you access to over 300 new designs and 100 new fonts. 

Four bright LED’s light a sewing area that provides 230mm of space to the right of the needle. There’s no need to worry about space: a slide-on freearm extension table expands the sewing area for large projects. A 7mm stitch plate lets you sew decorative stitches as wide as 7mm. Switching to the straight stitch plate lets you embroider with ease. The machine auto-detects which plate is being used and adapts. 

Integrated Dual Feed ensures that materials are evenly fed from above and below. Smooth materials or multi-layer sewing won’t cause seam puckering or slipping layers. 

With an automatic tie-off function and automatic thread cutter, finishing seams is as easy as pressing the tie-off and thread cut buttons. You can even program these functions to the foot control and finish seams with the tap of your heel. 

Three quick release hoops of different sizes make it easy to design at any scale. Embroider motifs up to 260x160mm without re-hooping. Automatic hoop detection defines the embroidery area for each hoop for an optimized design. 

Threading with the Bernette B79 is simplified with a semi-automatic needle threader. The pressure foot auto-lowers to the proper height and the thread cutter holds thread in place. Plus, you can choose between eight different pressure foot soles. With the right foot for the job, your stitch quality will be higher and projects will be done faster.
